aAron Munson – Cinematographer
aAron’s cinematography captures the human experience in unconventional places at unusual times. A highly accomplished artist, cinematographer and filmmaker, aAron’s work has taken him from his personal studio to war zones, High-Arctic weather stations, reindeer nomad camps in Siberia, and the Arabian Desert. He was five when his family moved from Inuvik to Edmonton, the day an F4 tornado hit the city, forcing them to flee from their new home near its path.
His stunning camera work can be seen in Equus: Story of the Horse (CBC, 8 CSA nominations 2019), The Great Human Odyssey (CBC, Nova, PBS) or Until First Light (Best Narrative Feature at the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival). aAron and Eva have a long history of collaboration. Some of the dramatic and documentary films aAron has shot for No Problem Productions include: We Regret to Inform You… (NFB; AMPIA award; EDA Award at DOXA Vancouver), 2.57k (Best Arts Film at NYC Film Festival, Best Experimental Short Award at Arizona Int. Film Festival) and the animated The Weightless Traveller (Finalist Best Creative Animation Shanghai Int. Film Festival; Golden Award Park City Film Music Festival).
